Hpv positive with low grade dyskaryosis

Hi, 

I recently went for my first (cervical smear test) 

The results came back I was HPV positive with low-grade dyskaryosis. They have book me in for a colposcopy in June.

I'm feel very anxious about the whole thing as before I had the test I've been having a lot of pain in my hips and pelvic similar to having period pains but no period i also find my legs ache nearly every day. I've also find sexual intercourse had become uncomfortable with period like cramps and a few months ago I experience some bright red blood after sex which was only a little bit on tissue.

I didn't think much of it at the time as I thought maybe this was just because I was breastfeeding my baby and haven't had a period since I've had her which is 14 months ago now.

But after these results I can't help but feel worried about it and I have to wait till June to fine out. 

Has anyone else had a similar situation.

    Hi Paris, 

    I had this result when I had my first smear too. I would be reassured that they are letting you wait until June for the colposcopy as they can't be too worried. 

    If its affecting your day to day life, maybe call and ask to made aware of any cancellations? 

    I had my colposcopy and was told everything was fine. I have had another 2 regular smears since which have been fine. 

    I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. (Coming from someone currently worrying like mad about a lump on their tongue)

    Thank you for your reply.

    I'll definitely see if I can get my appointment for a earlier date if possible as June is quite a wait and I can't help but feel worried.

    I'm Relieved that you can have them results but every turn out to be ok. 

    I'll try to stay positive just praying everything is ok
