Hard lump on outside thigh muscle

I have a hard lump or mound sort of thing on my left thigh muscle (outside). It feels deep and attached to the muscle (the lump) It also has caused a red scaly dry circular rash on the outside on my skin sort of 1.5 inch diameter. Im going for tests. can anyone relax my brain ? And assure me this isn't the signs of skin cancer/ sarcoma (or something) maybe as my doctor seemed worried . It's come around in the last 6 months or so and my ex misses worried me more cos I've been complaining about leg aches and joint pain etc . Doing my own head in anyone had any experiences? Or similar?

    I'm sorry to hear that you have some health concerns at the moment. It's good to hear that you've already seen your GP and that they have arranged some tests for you. 

    Hopefully you won't have to wait too long and the specialists will be able to give you some reassurance. We know that for many people this period of waiting for tests and results can be difficult. It can often help to talk to someone about your concerns and how you're feeling.     In the meantime, try to keep busy and avoid searching the internet for answers as this will leave you feeling more worried.
