Hi, 

I've just recently had mine on Monday & also got the full works done. I'm exactly the same where I don't want anyone to worry just now so only a couple of close friends know. 

I'm also a terrible overthinker so can relate! 

it has got slightly easier since Monday so hopefully it does for you too. I think I've mentally prepared for the worst (as you do when you overthink!). 

Things that have managed to keep me distracted is a good tv series/movie that you can get lost in, reading, watching TikTok (I know terrible lol). 

Another thing I do most nights is some kind of mindfulness meditation or another couple of tricks for the mind when I go to bed so that my mind doesn't create a million different scenarios. I was doing this before Monday but has still really helped.

The waiting is the worst part unfortunately, I always found myself cleaning whilst waiting for results which was useful but probably not for everyone! Aside from that, I watched a lot of TV I had seen before, so knew it would keep me entertained but it didn't matter if my mind wandered. I also listened to a lot of podcasts, as I went completely off music for a while.

Please don't try try go through this alone though, especially if it is to save others from the worry. My partner convinced me to tell my parents what was going on, and I was so grateful he did - it meant they were there on the day of my appointment and were able to be a support in the lead up to it as well. I mentioned that I had been torn about telling them and my mum was horrified at the thought of me going through it without them.

I agree with @amy269  while I waited for my results I found cleaning definitely helped and I also told my mum and dad only I needed for them to be prepared as I was told mine looked suspicious so I had a feeling it was not going to be good news and it wasn't for me

Thank you for your kind words and advice. Was it sore for a while? Feel like the anaesthetic has worn off now and I might just be a wimp when it comes to pain

Hey Lara,

I'm kind of the same with the feeling of not good news since they were saying it's really concerning. I'm waiting for the MRI appointment to come through & have the meeting with the breast surgeon consultant next Friday. 

I hope everything is going ok for you now, not sure if you've managed to complete your treatment ️. I saw my mum going through hers with lung cancer so sending love & hugs ️ x

I did exactly the same thing told my mum and we both were crying , but like I said I was told suspicious at my appointment. 

I was exactly the same I was diagnosed last July I'm now fully back to myself like a fizzy bottle of pop but I can't leave the chat as it helped me so so much .please stay here for support if you need it but try not to worry lots of people go to the breast clinic and have good results nlt all are bad my love , it don't stop the worry I no but try and keep busy while you wait I'm hoping all will be ok for you feel free to ask any questions here if you are worried about anything.

it's a terrible experience at the breast clinic when you are waiting I remember it well .
