Waiting for the referral

Hello everyone,

I have a beautiful 21 month old girl  , and we noticed a lump in her left thigh , anyway mummy instinct kicked in and got her seen by gp , and the lovley Dr has put an urgent referral through 2 weeks. But i can't stop worrying , I'm thinking  of every scinaro  going.

Does anyone have any good stories that has also had lumps on thigh that's come back as nothing serious and anyone any ways to cope with this awful wait ?

  • Hi

When  my son  was a baby I noticed a lump behind his ear. Doc said enlarged lynph node and would go away in a few weeks. Few weeks later still there ao went back and they did hospital referral, all was fine, its an enlarged lynph node but its permanent,  he is 6 now and still has it.

Lunps and bumps are very common and can be any range of things .

  • Hi Jolley123, yes my son many years ago a lump appeared more in the groin region, while potty training. It was an inguinal hernia , (bilateral ) confusing as first on left then on right. Surgery followed to tighten the gap between muscle in tummy. Hope yours is simple too.
