Borderline results

Hello

I had a ct head scan on the 14th January as I had been experiencing smelling smoke when there is none and pain/tingling in right leg and arm.

After my scan my symptoms had eased greatly.  I called GP on off chance today qbout results and was told they are borderline by the receptionist.

Just wondered if anyone had experienced similar?

I had been experiencing symptoms since Nov 22

Thank you

  • I'm glad to hear your symptoms have bene easing since you had your scan MickeyMouse although I'm sorry to hear your results are borderline.

I'm not sure if you're booked in with your GP to discuss your results, but if not, make sure you get an appointment when you can as they will be able to explain this further and let you know what happens next.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar position will share their experiences and advice with you soon but in the meantime, if there's anything you'd like to discuss with one of our nurses you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they'll do all they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi, I have had episodes of smelling smoke for several years. They come and go. I did go to the GP years ago and she didn't find anything abnormal. Then I read that it could be an allergy (a bit like hay fever). I'd really be interested to know what it turns out to be in your case, if you wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks and good luck.
