I'm just post menopausal. 

I had a transvaginal scan 3 weeago for abnormal bleeding.  Last week I had a colposcopy. ,consultant said I doubt I'll need to take biopsies and he did!..I'm so anxious about it.

im concerned they won't be able to do the colposcopy as it was too painful when they tried to do a smear

i had to go in as a day patient and be put to sleep

I had a horrendous time on insertion of the coil.

It has to come out and they tried 3 weeks ago after the transvaginal.  It was so very painful I cried and cried.

Apparently it's stuck so I have to be put to sleep.

I was told on Thursday the lining on the cervix is very thin. I was not expecting biopsies to be taken.

I'm very very small and have had c sections  , I struggle with smears.

Have you had a colposcopy before? X

No I have had 2 hysteroscopies, one last year and one a couple of weeks ago

Right.  Very similar ages.

It's really scary isn't it.. I'm living on propanalol at the moment to calm me.

.I don't know about you but it wasn't continuous bleeding,  it could be for a couple of days only in the morning or it could be for days or a couple of weeks. Fairly light aswell. 

Period pains. 

I'm dreading the phone texting or ringing.

I have not had a period for over 2 years, I had one last year which caused them to do hysteroscopy and biopsy 

I was due a smear test but they couldn't do it so they put me asleep to do the smear test and another hysteroscopy and biopsy which came back good

the smear didn't come back good so this is why they want to do the colposcopy but I'm dreading it because I know they won't be able to do it while I'm awake

my bleeding is weird it is not period blood it seams like I have cuts just inside that bleeds occasionally and never heals but this has been happening for about 2 years so I am really worried about it now

I asked my consultant if I could be put out ,he said yes straight away.

Have you got the colposcopy appointment date yet?

Please contact your gp to ask him to contact the hospital or maybe contact PALS and they could talk to someone for you.

Aww Debbie I really feel for you.

Least we can go through this together. 

Every niggle or back ache I immediately think its something bad.

After last week I thought he might of said he'd  something so thats why he took biopsies.  But nothing.
