Internal ultrasound

Hi!

I was refferred to my doctor for an ultrasound , after the nurses conducted this they asked if I was okay to wait for them to run a same day internal ultrasound , is this normal? I'm still waiting to hear the results from my doctor after 8 days , is this a good thing as many people say no news is good news , if there was something wrong would they have been in contact sooner .

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently needed an ultrasound. It's not uncommon for women to have an internal ultrasound as this sometimes gives a clearer picture when the technician looks at particular areas. 

    I certainly subscribe to the no news is good news philosophy. Worrying won't change the results but it can leave you feeling unsettled in the meantime.
