Lump in breast

Hello, I'm not sure if a have a question. I'm 35, found a lump in my breast on Friday evening and have cried the whole weekend waiting for Monday so I could Call my GP and get checked out. Have Googled every possible question to try and see if it's cancer... does anyone have any advice or description of a lump that they experienced ? Mine is very round and very mobile, I know that's not the indication but it just appeared out of no where...

thank you

Hi Eagle 87 welcome to the cancer chat forum. I'm sorry you have found a lump in yoir breast ,it is worrying when you find any lumps , but it doesn't always turn out to be cancer.

Mine  did,but my lump was very  hard ,solid in fact and didn't move at all. Most cancerous lumps in breasts are like this. But I also found another lump, a tear after in same breast, after I'd undergone lumpectomy and all my lympth nodes were removed from under my right arm as it had spread there. But this lump didn't feel the same ,it wasn't as hard and it moved,it turned out to be a cyst. I was told many woman are walking around with cysts in thier breasts, who probably don't even know it. It showed up on an ultrasound, I was told it was very small, and they don't operate or treat them  they  just leave them.

So your's  could be a cyst ,also hormone related problems can cause your breast tissue to feel lumpy and tender.  Most breasts  are normaly lumpy too. My advice you is stop googling,as you can make yourself a nervous wreck . Just go to your gp,and they will probably send you for a 2w refferal  to the breast clinic, if they do,don't worry as I said it may not be anything to worry about. And secondly if it is  look at it positively  as I did, after I got over the shock ,after all finding it early saved my life ,and that in itself had to be a good thing.  Good luck with evetything, hope all goes well. Do let us know how it all goes.

  • Hello, thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it, just any interaction is comforting, just knowing people experience the same thing all over the world is reassuring. Just hoping for a quick check up and an answer more then anything. Not knowing is the hard part.

  • I found a lump yesterday. I've been crying about it ever since. I've got GP appointment this afternoon.

Mine is hard and pea sized and doesn't seem to move, apparently those are not good signs.

    I am a mess.
