Test on Wednesday advice needed

I'm a 27 year old female. No cancer etc in the family however I noticed a lump under my armpit/on my upper boob. Due to where it’s located it’s hard to see how big it is as cannot be seen with the naked eye but can be felt. Anyway I went to the doctors and she’s referred me to a cancer hospital just to check.

My appointments on Wednesday and since I’ve had a few more symptoms and was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and the outcomes.

I’ve now got a red line going down from my nipple along my boob. Probably about an inch and a half long. At a quick glance it looks like a scratch but when looking closer it almost looks like little bursts vessels.

My nipple on that boob also looks like it’s almost going the wrong way around like it’s not as round as it normally is like the side of it is not round if that makes any sense?

I also have a bit of bumpy skin under that boob I suffer with eczema so I initially thought it was that however it's not itchy etc so not eczema.

thanks all in advance

  • Hello Danielleh and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat,

You did well to go to the doctor's about this and it's good that they are taking this seriously and you have been referred. I hope that your appointment goes well on Wednesday. You mentioned that you've had a few more symptoms since you saw the doctor and it's important that you write these down prior to your appointment on Wednesday and that you bring these up on Wednesday. Make sure you show this red line from your nipple and the fact you noticed that your nipple on that breast is almost going the wrong way around and that you have a bit of a bumpy skin under that breast.

I hope that you will hear from other members of the forum who have had these symptoms before and that they will share their experience with you. It helps to talk to others who have been in a similar place before.

Only a few days to go though before your appointment on Wednesday and I wanted to wish you the best of luck. It won't be long now until you have some clarity and find out what has been causing these issues.

Everything crossed for you that it all goes well and it turns out to be nothing of concern!

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you Lucie. It's not much longer to go just the agonising wait with work inbetween isn't too great! Trying to remain positive as satisticly the odds are on my side due to age and no breast cancer in family etc! I shall post an update regardless Wednesday incase anyone comes across this in the future and wants to know the outcome
