Hi ,
I've posted on here a few times so I'm hoping someone can reach out .
I've had a bone marrow biopsy recently, I went for my results and these were inconclusive with abnormal cells in the background. There being sent of for further testing to be certain to check any blood disorder/ cancer.
The consultant then started to explain a cancer type , but wouldn't comment on a diagnosis at the time .
I didn't expect the outcome or conversation.
I'm worried that it could be a blood cancer as the information was offered to me . Would this be a way of preparing me for further news down the line .
My next appointment is the beginning of May to see the Haemotologist so it's quite a wait but apparently it takes time I'm guessing for the sample cells to grow into cancerous ones ? Would this be the case ?
a second opinion is also needed as sometimes there is a definite answer when the sample is checked and other times there not 100% sure .
I should of asked more questions. Has anyone had a similar experience whereby they have waited sometime for the biopsy results to come back .
Im struggling to think about anything else and the consultant was also worried I wouldn't cope with the stress !
Thank you Lou69
