Hello,
Just looking to see if anyone else has at a similar problem.
Couple of weeks ago I noticed a solid bony immovable lump under my collarbone on my sternum.
I booked an appt with see my GP but ended up seeing a nurse as no GPs available. The nurse seemed baffled and tried to get a opinion from a Dr but no Drs around. She came to the conclusion to refer me to the breast clinic although it's very much not my breast.
The next day I felt as though I had chest pain (likely anxiety induced) so went to A&E to get checked over (thankfully all ok) but the Dr who reviewed me was unsure on the lump so referred me for an ultrasound. I explained I was referred to breast clinic for an ultrasound but she said the breast clinic wouldn't ultrasound the lump as it's not breast.
Anyway I have an ultrasound appt next Tuesday (week today). Still waiting to hear from the breast clinic.. I am so worried it's going to be something awful! I've made the mistake of googling and convinced myself it's something awful like rib or sternum cancer! What's worse is they've said in the letter they are unable to give results during the appt meaning more waiting.
I have a little one and my mother in law has terminal cancer which just adds to the anxiety. Hopefully will get some answers soon.
Thanks xx
