Hi,
I had my Haemotologist consultation today reference bone marrow results.
However the test was inconclusive, it showed abnormalities but couldn't be certain if this was cancer .
Having to wait 3 months for further testing, the consultant wouldn't commit to a diagnosis . So unfortunately it's a waiting game .
Explained that if it turned out to be cancerous cells then it wouldn't be treated until I'm 60 , I'm 53 . Also added that you can be expected to lead a normal life expectancy.
The cancer would come under Primary or secondary?
( High red blood platelets)
The consultant also mentioned it's a long wait to worry but could call anytime for a chat and see if he could hurry along the results perhaps.
Anyone been in a similar situation please.
Thank you Lou
