Hi, on Friday I had a bleed, red blood, went through early menopause 7 years ago due to chemotherapy for breast cancer. Saw GP today and being fast tracked. I don't know if I can go through this again
I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some unexpected bleeding. It's good to know that you've already seen your GP and they've referred you to see the specialist about this.
It's natural that you're feeling worried particularly as you've already been through treatment for breast cancer. I know that many of our members who have had more than one cancer diagnosis will understand these feelings but at the moment try to stay positive. These symptoms may not be due to cancer and worrying won't change the results.
We know that for many people this period of uncertainty can be a really difficult time. It can help to talk things through and I'd encourage you to give our nurses a call ahead of your appointment. Just wanted to let you know my experience of PM bleeding. It turned out to be a polyp which was removed under sedation and I've had no problems since in that area. So take heart, and try not to worry or go to Google. Easier said than done, I know, but try to keep busy and distracted. Do let us know how you get on.
Hi my friend had a tiny bleed last year went through the system and it was cancer but as she'd been seen early it was treated with a hysterectomy no other treatment needed. She's fine now just a yearly check for 5 years. The fast track system is very good and gets you a diagnosis quickly. My ovarian cysts were treated by the gynaecology oncology system. My operation ect was really quick. l hope you have your appointment soon
