Hi everyone.
Okay so my history is my uncle had bowel cancer a few years ago. My mum had bowel cancer last June and went through keyhole surgery and is almost back to normal(she was pretty lucky and didn't need any treatments. My mum was 55 and every doctor told her don't worry it won't be cancer. Fast forward to December my 33 year old brother finds out 2 days before Christmas that he also has bowel cancer! Again told by doctors it won't be cancer maybe piles or something. We're currently under going tests to see if it's genetic but over the last few months I've had such a change in my bowel habits. Sometimes I will do the toilet 5/6 times a day, sometimes it has mucus in it, sometimes it's thin like a pencil or bit ribbon, I'm very tired all the time, it's a lot more loose and dark than it used to be and feel like I can't hold the toilet like i used to. I have spoke to my doctor they said they would get in touch with the genetics team but they can't see it being cancer due to my age(26) and I handed in a stool sample but they lost it so I need to do another one. I don't have any blood in my stool or weight loss but I'm on the pill and feel like thsts making me gain weight for the first time ever so what do you guys think am I paranoid?
