Lumps in Stomach.. Blood Normal

Hello,

I need a little advice. My Husband has recently found 3  lumps in his stomach area 2 above his belly button and one on his back back. 2 are around the same size of a petit pois, another is about the same size as a pea however more oval shapped that round and this one is painful and hard. We went to the doctors and the doctors advised these could be swollen lymph nodes and sent him for blood tests.
The blood have come back normal however i believe its grown in the short space of time between appointment and blood coming back.
My husband has very rarely gone to the doctors and in the last 9 years this is his only appointment.
As his bloods have come back normal he is refusing to go back to the doctors for further advice.
Has anyone else had similar? Im so worried, should i be?

Thanks in advance

  • Hello Karlie

I'm sorry to hear that you're worried about your husband at the moment. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious about the lumps that you've mentioned.

It's good to hear that his GP didn't have any immediate concerns and that the initial blood test results came back normal.

You mention that you think the lymph nodes may have swollen more between the blood tests and the results and this is part of why you're worried.

It's a relatively short space of time between the tests and the results so I can understand your husband's reluctance to go back to the GP if he's feeling otherwise fit and well.

However, if they continue to increase in size, if he/you notice any other new lumps or if he starts to feel unwell then do encourage him to speak to his GP again.

    Hopefully things will settle soon.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
