8yo son symptoms - raised lymph node in groin and rash

My 8yo son is otherwise healthy, but has a raised lymph node at his groin. After anti biotics not working he has been referred for an ultrasound, within 1-2 weeks. He has also developed a rash, like excema, which he has had before slightly but this is quite prominent. He has been prescribed a steroid cream for that and the doctor said he can't confirm if the two things are linked.

I have read that skin type rashes can be a symptom of  lymphoma along with the groin lymph node. The doctor said not to worry but that he jumped to an ultrasound so quickly after antibiotics not working made me a bit nervous

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Many thanks
