Endometrial biopsy, results to be discussed in person

Hello. I had a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy a couple of weeks ago (red flagged due to heavy bleeding at 57). During the hysteroscopy the consultant said my uterus looked fine. However, I got a call to come into see the consultant this week to discuss my biopsy results. Now I am terrified. Is it possible that something was missed during the hysteroscopy but now has been revealed in the biopsy?

  • Welcome to the forum JustJac although I'm sorry for the worry your appointment to get your biopsy results is causing.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will be along soon to offer their support and advice but if you feel it may help to talk things through with one of our nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very informative and will do all they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.

Waiting for results is never easy but we are here for you JustJac and will have our fingers crossed for good news.

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you Steph. I just got diagnosed this morning with endometrial cancer. I am waiting for an MRI to confirm what stage it is at. I am absolutely terrified. I will keep that number. Thank you.
