Fluid detected - could it be anything else

Hi there, I see this thread is quite old but hoping someone could put my mind at rest.

My of my breasts became very uncomfortable, hard and swollen and some pain/aching. I went to my GP who referred me to the breast clinic where I had a mammogram and unltrasound. They told me that one of my implants had ruptured. During this time I realised I had the recalled textures implants. I've since had a MRI which confirmed that my implants have not ruptured but there is fluid in my breast and I need to go back for an ultrasound. Obviously this is a sign of breast implant cancer.

Has anybody experienced the same and it's NOT turned out to be BIA ALCL?

thank you.

    Hi CaBa,

I notice that nobody has replied to your post yet and just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 13 years, but know little about BIA ALCL and fluid build up.

I sincerly hope that your symptoms are not cancerous and that you get your results soon. You might find that you will get more people who have first hand experience of this, if you start a new thread entitled BIA ALCL. I hope that someone who knows more than I do will come along to chat to you soon.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
