Hi, I would say have a colonoscopy. That's good standard. A CT does not always show pre cancerous polyps, which is what happened in my case. Even though I was referred to have a ct after polyp was found through colonoscopy but could not be seen on the CT. X

Hiya no problem, my referral took over year cause of Covid and my age. I was 30 and they actually kept saying it's hemorrhoids and delayed it more. I spoke to the consultant twice on the phone. The first one said let's do a CT scan due to Covid and colonoscopy had long waiting list and I denied it and I also fell pregnant during that time so more of reason to say no to the ct scan. About 9 months after my baby was born I called PALS up and complained that I still have not received a colonoscopy appointment and that's when they gave it straight away. I'm actually confused why they even offered a ct scan instead of a colonoscopy, usually they do a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy. Please insist on a colonoscopy when have your phone appointment. Say that you are not comfortable with CT scan findings. 
 

Thinking back if I agreed to the CT scan they would have not seen anything and I would have been discharged and this pre cancerous polyp would have probably become something nasty and it would have been too late. X
