Hello. I currently have a small red patch on the inside of my cheek with a small white spot/speck. I have also noticed a couple tiny dark red specks nearby. Is this anything to check further or just a mouth ulcer?

Hi, whilst I'm not a dentist, I worked in a dental environment for years.
What you are describing sounds like you have bitten your cheek, probably during the night, and been unaware of it.
However, this is the very important part of any lump, patch (red or white) or ulcer in the oral cavity, if it has not resolved or almost resolved within 2 weeks, it's very important it gets assessed further either by a dentist or a gp. That is the golden rule.
Almost all issues resolve within 2 weeks in the mouth.
Hi. Thanks. It does seem to be located in that area where you see the teeth impressions on the inside of the cheeks. Used some warm salt water the last couple days and it seems to be fading.
