Lump in breast and feeling unwell

Hi all,

ive been feeling ill for about a year- headaches, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite and insomnia. They put it down to the covid vaccine as initial symptoms came on that night and then they got worse after I caught covid 9 months later.

I found a lump just under my collar bone the other week so went to the docs and she found a further lump in my gland in my armpit. I have been referred for an ultrasound and should get the appointment within the next 2 weeks.

my mind is spiralling and I can't stop thinking that I could have cancer and what if it's spread and that's why I've been feeling so ill for so long.

Did anyone else have these symptoms with cancer? Did anyone else have a lump followed by swollen glands and it wasn't cancer? I'm so hoping it's just cysts or something as I can't face more health problems. Im so stressed. I'd love some reassurance.

thanks

  • Hey there,

I had breast cancer diagnosed back in 2020 so I know how your feeling right now being worried sick!

just to give you some reassurance I'm regularly checking myself and have found lumps in my neck chest underarm area with my history I'm under the breast clinic what I have noticed is since covid jabs I seem to get lumps develope (I'm on my 8th jab now!) I also have dead arm feeling. I read an article it seems to be quite common.

The other symptoms you've described could be linked to long covid, menopause, depression the list goes on.

The worse thing I did was using google on the run up to waiting for my breast clinic appointment it made me so ill, it doesn't help with anxiety if anything it makes it worse! These forums and searches will not give you the answers your looking for. Keep yourself distracted and occupied your appointment will come around much quicker.

good luck and take care xx

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I was very lucky to get the all clear for cancer. They said it was normal breast tissue but maybe seemed more prominent as I have lost a bit of weight. I've been unwell because the vaccine has caused inflammation/ long covid- so im just continuing my recovery from that.

  • Hi its been  while since January I hope you're feeling a lot better now ,you say all this happened since covid jabs I was just wondering how and why you actually had 8 if it was making you ill ,I've never known anyone to have 8 jabs I didn't think that would be allowed ,are you ok now Best Wishes Jenny .
