Hi everyone
So I had an endometrial biopsy this week. The consultant said he could see a thickened area that "concerned him" on the ultrasound and he did the biopsy there and then.
I'm 38 and I've been spotting for up to a year but especially the past six months, about ten to fourteen days before my period, then every day until my period comes, then it stops after my period for about ten days. Sometimes the bleeding is quite a bit and is there practically every time I go to the toilet. Sometimes I have to wear a pad or tampon. Discharge seems sometimes darker and sometimes pink. No real pain though, nothing different to what I'd usually have.
The consultant has said it could also be perimenopause but wants to rule out something sinister (his words) but he did reiterate that he's concerned about what he seen.
Have any of you any experience of what your bleeding was like, how often, how much, did it have a pattern, with endometrial cancer?
I know everything can be different but it's good to chat to others who have had the biopsy etc.
Thanks all!
Josie
