Swollen lymph nodes in neck and both thighs.

A month and a half ago I found a pea size bump at the bottom right side of my neck. This led me to a map of surface lymph nodes. I remembered feeling the line between my torso and thigh being bumpy but I shrugged it off because I've always been underweight. I can feel about 3 lymph nodes on both sides. I'm 15 so I'd need to ask to see a doctor, but it's real scary. Is there anything else this could be other than cancer? I don't really have any other lymphoma or lymphoblastic leukemia symptoms, but I sit my GCSEs this year.

  • Welcome to the forum Lurasidolf although I'm sorry about the lymph nodes you've discovered and for the worry they are causing.

As you mention in your post, your doctor is the best person to ask about this as they be able to examine you and let you know if they're any cause for concern. Hopefully that won't be the case but it's always good to get any unusual or persistent symptoms checked out if only for peace of mind so do be sure to book an appointment with them when you can. If it's easier, you could try seeing your school nurse about this as well.

There have been many posts within the Cancer Chat community about swollen lymph nodes so you are not alone and hopefully some of our members will be along soon to offer you their support and advice.

    Kind regards,
