Found a lump but the male GP didn’t feel anything

Hi,

I found a pea size lump 2 weeks ago and saw a male GP last week he said he couldn't feel it, I have mild scoliosis so my rib cage/chest sticks out slightly on my right side, makes it difficult to check for lumps etc! I am really worried because I've been having neck/ shoulder and back pain for a little while now and I'm also just exhausted! I'm 25 and I just feel like there is definitely something wrong!
the lump is definitely there I have got different people to check and they could feel it too, any advice would be extremely helpful as my gp practice is pretty useless

thank you

  • Hello Wsmith11

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump and that you've also had some ongoing health concerns. It's understandable that you may be feeling worried and frustrated by things.

Do get back in touch with your GP surgery and request a second opinion from another Dr at the surgery. If you feel that you're not being heard by the surgery then you can always speak to the practice manager to raise your concerns.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you some reassurance soon as well as help to improve your symptoms.

    Best wishes,
