Referred to haematology, also pregnant

So I'll try make a long story short. Almost 6 month now I've been suffering with 24/7 breathlessness, generally feeling run down and poop, fatigued but can't sleep because of said breathlessness. Swollen  lymph nodes in my neck and next to my throat-told they're reactive, also my bloods show I'm fighting an infection. My ENT consultant has rang me tonight and said he would refer me for a full body CT scan but because I'm 9 weeks pregnant it's high risk to the baby and may be unnecessary so has referred me to haematology. I'm bricking it to say the least, has anyone been through similar? What was the outcome?

  • Hello Lauranicole6

I'm sorry to hear that you're still dealing with ongoing health concerns and that you're now waiting on a referral to haematology. It's understandable that this is adding to the anxiety that you've already been dealing with.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the appointment but if you want to chat things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

    Best wishes,
