I found a lump in my right breast last week.
Ive been fast tracked for tests next week.
My worry is that I've had shoulder/back pain for months. I'm so so scared that it's a symptom that the cancer has spread.
I can't sleep. I'm so scared.

Hi,
Wishing you well for your appt, I will be thinking of you.
All x 5 , plus me walked out with non cancer issues. I appreciate there will be some others that will have gone there today and need further investigations, that again may not result in a cancer diagnosis, was just the group I was put through with all had very differing symptoms and yet similar outcomes. I agree with this. They put my referral in the afternoon before Christmas and I'm still waiting for my appointment. It depends on your local authority, how busy they are etc. some people are being seen super fast and others are waiting past 2 weeks even if it's urgent because how stretched some areas are.
Hi all,
I think it does depend on the area you are in! I was referred on the 28th, had a phone call on the 30th to book an appointment and had it yesterday. Am now waiting on biopsy results and am frankly terrified, I was told it is 'indeterminate' what the lump is so I have to wait a week to find out.
I was referred after a completey unrelated MRI showed up an area of low signal in my breast, so it was all done internally which may explain the speed.
I'm only 29 so hoping for the best but equally am expecting the worst.
I hope you are all ok, sending lots of love.
Ells x
Have been thinking of you. Good luck for today, xxx
Thank you lovely xx Just on the way to hospital, trying to think positive, your story brought me so much hope. x
Just after the appointment, I have a small cyst in my left boob! I am so relieved !!!
Amazing, fab news,..........I am so pleased for you.
I am sure I will be back on here again, I don't see that I will be without getting lumps unfortunately.
Whether it's any good or not I don't know but was looking at jamesdysonaward.org - it relates to a piece of tech that has won an award ,DOTPLOT - Its an at home breast health monitoring tool, it's not on the market yet but could be very helpful in assisting to checking breasts regularly ? . I would always check manually, but would use this alongside if it was affordable. Xxx
I found a hard stone like lump pea sized and I'm absolutely freaking out. I've had bowel cancer scare last year and low this. I have appointment on the 17th at breast clinic I'm bricking it.
Hi Sabr,
I am so sorry to hear about your recent find. You have done the right thing by getting this checked out. We all get scared at the thought of a cancer diagnosis. Not all breast lumps are cancerous. Many turn out to be fibrous changes or cysts, for example. It is a fact that 80% of the people who attend the breast clinic, get the all clear, so here's hoping that you'll be one of the lucky ones.
I am glad to hear that you already have your appointment and don't have too long to wait. In the meantime, please steer clear of 'Dr Google' and try to keep yourself busy, to distract yourself from the wait. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Praying it's a cyst. Do cyst usually go by themselves? Cause mine has been here for two weeks now. I think cause it's small it's scaring me more, cause from whatever I read I have read that lumps were huge and they turned out to be cyst or fibrosis tissue. Thank you for replying to me. X
