Waiting to be checked

Hello,

in September this year, I went to the docs as have had experienced bleeding after sex, pain whilst having sex and after. The doc did an internal and all looked okay but she referred me for to hospital (10 month wait) since then, the bleeding has got worse and happens everytime after sex and now I'm experiencing pain in my lower back, and at the sides. I went back to docs and again they did an internal and felt my overies and then pushed my appointment through. I have a scan on the 24th January to check my ovaries and am still waiting to hear when I'll have an appointment to do a more in-depth internal. I'm really worrying that I've got cervical cancer. I don't know what I'm really asking but I'm a 38 year old mum of two and I'm really getting myself into a state of panic.
Last year 2021, I went to the hospital to have something burnt away (to be honest I don't even know what it was, how bads that) my smears are all up to date and have been okay.

thanks so much xx

  • Hey Nats38,

I just seen this and wanted to reply because I know how terrifying this all is.

I went to my GP with bowel issues, nausea and pain in my stomach - a pelvic exam was done and a lump was felt on my ovary - I then had ca125 bloods the next day at gynae's request which were elevated and an urgent ultrasound was done today (literally GP appointment to ultrasound had 10 days between) and the result was a large teratoma tumour (commonly knows as a dermoid cyst and is likely benign) which needs surgically removed and a biopsy done - im also being sent for an MRI and a CT Scan which all sounds terrifying but I was reassured this is procedure and my tumour/cyst is confined to my right ovary only and shows no sign of spread. I'm a 30 year old mum of 2 and know how you feel - I googled every thing going and made myself feel worse so hopefully this gives you a bit of reassurance.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and praying for good news xx

I will keep you updated with how I get on ️ Good luck with everything and wishing you all the best. Once again thank you so much xxx
