I'm sorry to hear that you find yourself facing the possibility of oesophageal cancer, also known as gullet cancer. It's obviously an incredibly worrying time for you at the moment and understandable that you will have lots of questions and queries. 

We have some information on our website here which you may find helpful but I wanted to suggest that you post on this thread here. We have quite a number of members who have been through treatment for oesophageal cancer or who have a loved one who has had the same diagnosis. They are a very knowledgeable and supportive group of folks and I'm sure they will be happy to offer any support and advice they can. 

Our nurse team is out of the office for the festive period but they reopen on Wednesday 28^th to the 30th Dec 9 am to 5 pm. Then closed 5 pm 30th Dec, back on 3rd Jan 2023 to 6th Jan, as normal 9 am to 5 pm. If you'd like to speak with them for some information, advice, and support do give them a call on 0808 800 4040 during opening hours. 

Alternatively, if you want to talk to someone for emotional support over the festive period then the Macmillan helpline is available from 8 am to 8 pm every day.
