Concerns following CT

Sorry to be a nuisance but I am concerned following a call from the hospital. I presented as an urgent referral to ENT having had a cough for 5 weeks at time of appointment. I have a change in my voice, very hoarse or sounding like Mickey Mouse and all tones in between! On endoscopic examination it was discovered that the left lobe of my voice box was paralysed and aren't sure why.

I have a Thyroid nodule but is stable and not related to new problem. Scanned at time of appointment even though I had one in September.

I had.a CT scan within 10 days of neck and thorax last week, this was brought forward 3 weeks from original planned scan. I received a call from my specialists secretary today and I have an appointment to discuss the findings. Feeling anxious and a bit scared that everything has happened and the speed in which I have an appointment, 2 days time!

My head is thinking that there are potential cancerous findings and am a bit shell shocked, worried and scared.

I wonder if anyone has been in a similar situation?
