Worried about cervical cancer

Hi everyone,

Just after some advice and support really, as I'm really worrying and can't get in to see GP.

I have had ongoing issues for months now. It all seems to flare up every few weeks, where all the symptoms seem to start at once. I have lower back pain that feels raw and inflamed, lower right pelvic pain near groin that feels crampy, inside my vagina feels sore, itchy and swollen. It always starts as an itch deep inside that sometimes goes to my bum, then the soreness and swollen feeling then starts, I have a lot of watery clear/milky discharge. I can feel it come if out much like a period. I'm really worried something isn't right. It seems to flare every 6 weeks or so but this time it's been here for a month!

thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with some ongoing health problems at the moment. It sounds like it's been a difficult time for you and it's understandable that you're feeling worried.

Do keep trying to arrange an appointment with your GP as they will be best placed to arrange to see you and try to help resolve the issue.

In the meantime, if you've not already done so, it may be worth having a chat with your local pharmacist to ask if they're able to recommend something to help particularly as some of the symptoms you've described (itching, pain, discharge) are also symptoms of thrush.  Alternatively, you get in touch with your local sexual health clinic which may be able to help rule out any other causes for your symptoms and expedite an appointment with your GP or another specialist if they feel it's necessary.

Hopefully you'll be able to get this sorted soon.

    Best wishes,
