Just posting to say I had. colonoscopy without sedation today. I picked this option as didn't want to deal with recovery time. I was also happy to watch the whole thing on the screen! The doctor talked me through the procedure as it went on. It hurt a bit when the camera went around the corners but not too bad. I felt fine afterwards. The worst bit by miles is drinking all the gross prep product. I would have it without sedation next time if, like this week, I had an important day right after. If it wasn't a busy week and I had someone to look after me I might go with sedation.
