Hi, I have had lower right jaw pain for some time and assumed it may have been due to my top denture. These pains have been like little electric shocks along the jaw. The last two months I have noticed pain in my right side when I eat and yawn. This week the pain has been terrible and auumed I may have an abscess coming on. I booked in with the dentisa today who spotted two lumps on the side of my tongue right at the back. I can barely see them as they're so far back. She also said I have a lump and swelling over my gum behind my past tooth. She has referred me for an x ray of the jaw and teeth and has told me to feel the lumps over the next two weeks and note down any changes which has worried me. She also said that my lymph nodes feel "up" on my right side.  The pain is awful and I am now feeling worried that these lumps could be sinister. 

My tongue has a strange colour to it also which I hadn't noticed until coming home and having a poke around. She wants to see me in two weeks and hadls said I would hopefully have the results from the x ray by then and we can go from there. She said that there was no obvious infections and that these lumps aren't ulcers. I obviously googled and have symptoms that point to tongue/oral cancer.
