Post menopausal bleeding, bleeding for 7 days. What do I do?

I have post menopausal bleeding. GP has referred me as urgent but bleeding now 7 days of heavy bright red blood. Using a superplus extra tampon every 4 hours. Also period type tummy pain/cramping. Should I do anything or just wait for hospital appointment?

Welcome to the forum Jeanalexa although I'm sorry about the heavy bleeding you've been contending with over the last 7 days.
If you're worried, it would be best to speak with your GP or call the NHS on 111 as they'll be best placed to advise and put your mind at ease.
Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon as well but in the meantime, we're thinking of you and hope your urgent referral comes through soon.
