Vaginal bleeding

After months of random irregular vaginal bleeding I called the doctor as it began to become more frequent and is now at the point I am bleeding daily after going to the toilet (worse after bowel movements), during and after intercourse and now streaks in discharge. I was brought in for a combined nurse and doctor app to have a smear test and swabs done (now 3 months ago) where I was supposed to have my cervix's checked by the doctor, however due to there being too much blood from having the smear test done she couldn't have a proper look at my cervix. All swabs came back clear for infection however I am still awaiting smear test results. I had a pelvic and bladder infrasound done which came back clear, but have also been experiencing random sharp abdominal pains and lower back pains. My doctor surgery are a nightmare to get through to on the phone and right now getting a face to face appointment is like gold dust. 
 

I am just looking to see if anyone else has been through something similar with advise on what the bleeding might be caused by? Or why it might be worse after going to the toilet? I though it might have been a polyp or cyst but this would have been picked up by the ultrasound. 
 

Hoping my smear test results will come back soon to rule anything sinister out.

    I am sorry to hear you have experienced all these issues with vaginal bleeding and you must be a bit anxious as you are waiting for these important smear test results. It's reassuring though that all swabs came back clear for infection. I hope it won't be long before you get your results and that it turns out to be nothing of concern. Waiting for results can be really stressful and there are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news.

    **Update**
     

    After fighting to have a face to face appointment I had an internal examination done at the doctors yesterday and they have found a mass on my cervix. She tried to pull at the mass which had me screaming in pain. I'm devastated this wasn't picked up at my original smear test appointment despite the doctor also doing a hand examination. I was advised they now placed me on a 2 week referal to the hospital to have biopsies and a colposcopy done, but after yesterdays appointment have been bleeding heavily and clotting and now have an emergency appointment at the woman's day clinic on Monday morning. I feel sick to the stomach with worry.

    Has anyone been through anything similar with a mass being found on the cervix that turned out to be fine?? Looking for any advise possible please!

    Hi,

    I have the same issue, been bleeding since august last year and includes lots of clots with no break at all

    had trans and pelvic scan all clear

    had all bloods, all ok , apart from iron low so been given folic and iron tablets to help

    still waiting NHS gyno appt since oct!

    in the end few weeks ago I went private had biopsy 

    this came back clear and the offered HRT as a suggestion as it could be mg hormknes

    GP refused as stated in too young and *** need

    i can't take any pill as I have high BP with meds 

    I just don't know where to go next either

    i think I am going back to GP and push to see what else can we do
