Hello,
I just wanted to add my story for anyone out there that is searching for someone with something similar.
End of July 22 i got covid, it was my first time having covid and it made me feel pretty awful but nothning that bedrest didnt sort. I had it for 10 days. For many weeks after I was lethargic and at the beginning of september I found a lump in the dip of my left collarbone. Headed straight to google and panicked! If you have googled it you'll know why. Before this google search the term 'supraclavicular' was new to me, I really had no idea
Went to see the GP, she ran all blood tests, she felt for the 'lump' she couldnt find it. It felt like a malteaser bobbing around, i persisted it was there and after feeling some more she found it, she said its a lymph node and its moveable and wasnt concerned and to wait 3 weeks.
Bloods came back clear, slightly elevated liver function but only slight so nothing of concern. 3 weeks later the lump is still there and by this time I am thinking the worst. I was referred to ENT, they felt my head and neck and couldnt feel anything so sent me for a full head & neck ultrasound there & then... of course I thought they knew something I didnt know.
The consultant radiologist took a while to find this node but located it, checked it & measured it etc and pretty much there and then gave me the all clear. It is 4mm and looks healthy. I thought it would be over 1cm but I suppose it just feels bigger to me under flesh & skin. She said sometimes nodes come up and stay up, sometimes they go fast but sometimes they don't. She gave me a thorough neck scan and I am fine.
If you are going through this, stay off google. Dr Google needs striking off!
Go see your GP and let them put your mind at rest!
Its now 30th Nov and its still there. I still check it but I have limited myself to every other day
I hope this can help someone or put your mind at ease :)
