Hi thanks for the reply! I'm nearing the end of my antibiotics and my breast feel worse than before, my nipple has now started to hurt. I'm going to try and get an appointment on Wednesday to see the same doctor as she told me to only see her if I go back. 
I've had issues with my left breast for the last few years so won't be surprised if the medication doesn't work! 
 

I think they will send you to the breast clinic they have been really good with me over the years.  l don't have cancer but have had problems with my milk ducts when they play up they feel like wire hard and sore the skin is red and hot. I have an open appointment for the clinic now where l can ring and be seen when I need to. 
At least in the clinic they actually do the mammogram and ultrasound scans and can take biopsies if needed rather than waiting for appointments for each thing. Except for biopsies they can give you the results on the day.

make a list of any questions and take someone with you as we forget as soon as we see the drs

Thanks! I'm going to try to get an appointment to see my gp again tomorrow! I'm still in pain and suspect the antibiotic needs to be extended, I'd like her to send me to the breast clinic if only to put my mind at ease! I'm driving my self insane with concerns and confusion about what's going on with me and if I've actually got an infection and why the medication hasn't worked. All my go said to me last week was she could feel a long tube and it was swollen!? My breast hasn't been hot or swollen on the outside so that's what's making me doubt the diagnosis. 
I've been in pain for months but I just ignored it and it was only by chance and a second opinion I went for a lump i could feel that she said it was an infection! 

it's such a stressful time and i find it really difficult to get gp's to listen to me and steer them in the way of a referral to help put me at ease. I don't want any bad thoughts hanging over me during the festive season.
