Hi all,
I just needed a place to maybe speak to other people who have had a similar experience or going through the same thing.
im 19 and I had a lump show up on my neck about 6 months ago, I'm not one to panic so I pushed it off until my friends made me get it checked out a month ago. I got an appointment with the gp and they felt it and wanted to do an urgent blood test and ultrasound. I had the blood test and originally got told everything was normal (have now been told my inflammation is high and my platelets are off as well). They told me to wait for my ultrasound so they can see what the lumps were
in this time 2 more lumps had shown up on my neck. I went to the ultrasound and asked the woman who did it what it looked like and she did say it looks like my lymph nodes but just phone my doctors in a few days and see if your results are back. A week goes by and I get a phone call from the doctor saying they have my results back and they can confirm this is my lymph nodes which are enlarged and that they are quite big ( my biggest one is 6cm). He asked me questions and looked at my bloods again and that's when I found out my blood levels weren't normal like they told me the first time. He then referred me to the specialists and said to wait to hear for an appointment from them.
i then had that appointment on Friday, they checked everything over including looking down my throat and said they want to do a biopsy as they need to check for lymphoma. They also took a blood sample from my neck that same day just to see if they can see anything quicker as now am having to wait for the biopsy.
i cant stop researching and reading things about lymphoma. I have been so tired constantly and for the past few nights have started sweating in the night even when my room is freezing cold. Many people over the months have been saying it looks like I've lost weight.
i don't know what I'm wanting from this but needed a place to rant and let it out
