Cough and choking on food

I have had a few procedures over the last couple of months but all came back negative . My GP then thought they were looking down the wrong route as I had a cough  choking on food and a hoarse voice  . After an endoscopy showed nothing but an acid patch and a camera up my nose into my throat  to look at my voice box showed an acid patch too I was sent for a CT scan to look at my thyroid . 
3 days after my CT scan I was fast tracked for an ultra sound scan I had that done , then waited for my appointment which was made after my CT scan for 12 December . Today I got a call to say can I come for my appointment this week instead of December . 
I am now worried after being fast tracked for an ultrasound and then my appointment brought forward so quickly that something is wrong . 
 

  • I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms you've been contending with Liskit and for the worry your appointment being brought forward is causing.

    I know it's difficult, but try not to assume the worst if you can as your appoinment being moved could be due to that department having a cancellation. Although it may not seem like it, being seen sooner may actually be a positive as you now have less time to wait to find out what's going on, something which many of our members would prefer as waiting for results can be very difficult.

    Hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences with you but in the meantime, we're wishing you all the best for this week and will have our fingers crossed for good news.
