Lump on shoulder near neck left side

Hi all

Bit of advice and honesty please .

I've had a petruding lump on my shoulder near to my neck for around 2 years and I have gone through the process of gp referral to having scans and now I have had a biopsy .

Reason being the consultant said after he examined lump via ultra sound,he could not determine what it was. After performing biopsy I asked him if he knew what it could be or maybe give me reassuring comfort however he said he would be lying if he said it is no cause for concern .

I'm now really worried whilst I wait for results so I'm just reaching out for some honest answers from you guys .

Many thanks x

  • Hello Gray

I'm sorry ot hear that you're waiting for biopsy results on a lump at the moment. I know that many of our members here will understand just how difficult this period of waiting and uncertainty can be. Has the team given you any indication of when you may hear some news? Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long.

It can sometimes help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat with one of our nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to offer andy advice and support they can ahead of your results. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Gray and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

    Thanks for reply

They said they will fast track results so not sure if they know there is a problem
