Worried diagnosed wrong

Hi

I had quite large breasts and about 2 years ago I noticed a mass at the side of my right breast. I had urgent referral and mammogram and nurse said it was mastitis but that was it. I have since lost alot of weight and my bust smaller but my right breast is alot bigger. This mass is now really prominent but also lump is bigger and hard and I'm worried that the diagnosis might have been wrong. Any advice please

  • Hello Shellc78,

yes any 'lump' or anything that feels unusual is disturbing. The diagnosis you had two years ago was very likely right. However you are understandably worried right NOW. Therefore I think it's best to get rechecked. No one will mind and it's so much better to get peace of mind.
Call your GP in the morning. The sooner you do that the sooner you will be checked out.
Hoping all goes well for you.
    Kebbs.

    Hi Shellc,

I am sorry to hear of your concerns and agree with Kebb. It is always worth checking out any change in your breast, even if only for your own peace of mind.

Please contact your GP tomorrow morning. I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
