Hi

Im 30 years old and recently found a small pea sized lump in neck I just put it down to nothing as I had tonsillitis at the time. But about 3/4 weeks have gone by I feel fine now but the lump has got bigger and is hard. Went to the doctor today and she's referred me for an ultrasound on the fast track pathway. She felt my neck and asked some questions and then so gently just said the worse case scenario is cancer and that there treating it like it is. 

I did go on a Google bender last night as I couldn't sleep and nothing seems to be reassuring everything is pointing to something bad. Iv also had comments that iv lost weight and I'm not trying no dieting or exercising and my clothes do feel abit loose. 
 

Only had my doctors appointment about 3 hours ago and I feel in such a panic and can't seem to switch off from thinking she did say I should hopefully get a number to call on Thursday to book in my ultrasound but I can't stop thinking the worse. Any one had anything like this? I'm worrying more as I have a 3 year old daughter as well.
