Has anyone had similar experiences?

Hi,

I basically want to see if anyone has had similar experiences to me because I feel like somethings wrong and I'm not getting much help.

I am 21 years old and earlier this year I had a seizure (I've never had one before). I blanked out before but believe I may have fainted and hit my head which caused me to have multiple seizures in a short time. Went to a&e and had a CT scan and it was clear. I had body tics for 2 weeks after, mainly involving head movements, I also had a particular part of my head that would cause me to twitch in movement if touched. I was also suffering with intense headaches & light sensitivity. I have had a few episodes since, which I believe to be absent seizures and in the last few months I've had occasions where I've had an overwhelming feeling where I get a fast heart rate and feel nauseous & dizzy so I have to go and sit down. (I've noticed this happens when around a lot of people/lights or have a sudden change in environment). I've also been sick a few times when this has happened.

My body has also had random severe cramps in my legs and what feels like nerve damage in my arms which I've never had before.

A few months ago, I got told I have a b12 deficiency and  folate acid after complaining about extreme fatigue and body weakness. I'm not entirely convinced this is all caused by a b12 deficiency and would like to hear other peoples opinions/ experiences.

  • Welcome to the forum Pebble23 although I'm sorry to hear about all you've been through. It sounds like you've had a very challenging time.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but if you still feel something isn't quite right then you could try getting a second opinion.

I hope the information I've provided will help but if you feel it may help to talk things through with one of our nurses, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they'll do all they can to help.

    Kind regards,
