Moms diagnosis - how long should we be waiting of results?

My mom is 67 and had a colonscopy n camera down throat to check why shes been ill latley, they found a tumour in her colon, upper part of intestine, they out appearence malignant on the forms, she had ct scan last thursday 27th october and we still waiting to hear the results, but keep get given different answers from receptionists of when we shall gets these, bearing in mind they have had the biopsy resukts for 3 weeks, its says 28day pathway, it now is 28days since being referred and still no diagnosis we are all so sick with worry and scared for her aswell as she is too, just wondered if this is right and how long should we be waiting.

    I can understand why you are feeling worried and would want to get some answers as soon as possible. According to this page on our website on CT scans, it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to get your results. It also mentions that you should make sure you contact the doctor who arranged the test if you haven’t heard anything after a couple of weeks.

    Keeping everything crossed for you that you hear back from them very soon and that your mum gets a diagnosis in the next few days.

    Hi, thank you for your reply and kind words, my mom got a txt messages to invite her for a face to face appointment tomorrow monday 7th so fingers crossed all goes well but finally we shall know results on what she actually has as this has been a terrible time full or worry, stress, being scared just the not knowing as shes been feeling poorly with these symptoms since june this year! Just been a long process but thank you x
