Pains and lumps in groin

Hi all,

As a man in my 20s, I don't know if I'm overreacting or something is going on. Went to the GP around 7 weeks ago for an aching pain in my groin where a lump has showed up on either side, on the right side, now it seems there are two lumps, the pain is still pretty constant but mild. Along with that I have been getting some bad inflammation in my stomach area, with sometimes stabbing/achy pains just below the left side of my rib cage, I also get these pains along my lower abdomen. There is also a small lump in my neck which I am not sure is a knotted muscle or some sort of growth. Not really sure how to cope with this, the doctor referred me for an ultrasound for my groin pain, but still haven't even got a letter through. Don't really know why I'm writing this, just wondering if anyone has ever had similar experiences.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, lf200.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

Waiting for that referral letter when your symptoms won't let you think about anything else can feel like a lifetime, and it is normal to experience anxiety. Many on this forum understand only too well how you are feeling as they have also had to experience what feels like an endless wait. I Hope they come by to say hello and share their story with you, as chatting with those who can relate does seem to help.

I hope you don't have to wait for much longer and that you find out soon what is causing your symptoms.

    Best wishes,
