Hard lump inner thigh, femoral hernia incorrect

Evening,

I'm really panicking now. I had a hard lump appear on my inner thigh, I have also been getting continue pain in my hip and groin  for 6 months now. It has got worse and worse.

I had an ultrasound where I was told I had a femoral hernia with swollen lymph nodes and no wonder why I was in pain. The surgeon called and booked me in for surgery. Happy to recieve a diagnosis and so was my GP, I felt settled. A week later the pain was so intense I phoned 111 who told me to go straight to ane. I did, the night surgeon felt the lump and said, it doesn't feel like a hernia but it's something along with the swelling, let's get your ready for surgery and have a ct before.

I had a CT and it came back that I do not have a femoral hernia. The night surgeon was baffled and said they would talk about my case. They did and the day surgeon completely dismissed me said I've probably just pulled my hip and to stop being dramatic (i know this isnt a hip pull). I said cannot you not feel the lymph he spent two minutes feeling it and one of his colleagues said what can you feel he said probably just a swollen lymph node from the cyst on my ovary and to get a tranvaginal scan if it's that bad.

They discharged me from hospital. I phoned the GP and she was also so confused. Ordered a ca 125 came back normal. She's ordered another ultrasound for a second opinion. I've got to the point where pain is never ending I've paid (which i cant really afford) for an MRI which I got done yesterday.

Has anyone had the same? Is it possible that a CT can miss a femoral hernia or a tumour within the muscle?

I'm hoping the MRI will reveal answers.
