feel so long waiting

This last weekend felt so long.

I've got a blood test tomorrow and will then need to book a face to face appointment with my GP. I'm guessing for a rectal exam.

I need to do another faecal calprotectin test in 2 weeks. It feels so slow waiting.

I still can't believe my FIT test was over 400. Have any of you had this and everything turned out fine?

I'm so glad I could barely understand cancer (leukaemia) when I was little. I'm already freaking out at the thought of having cancer now.

I keep falling over aswell because of numbness in my hands and feet. I messaged my GP practice about this and they booked a face to face appointment for tomorrow. I'm shocked that they didn't ask for a telephone consultation. I didn't realise it could be something serious.

I lost the ability to walk when I was little (before diagnosis) and the doctors at the same GP practice didn't take it seriously so I'm glad they're taking it seriously now.

I also have an assignment I've been procrastinating on so I should really work on that to get my mind off things.

Anyone else in a similar situation or have been in the past?

  • Hello Sophie2001,

I hope you're blood test went ok, I hope you were able to get your questions answered. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to worry, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor. These tips here might be useful whether you're waiting for appointments or results.

    I hope this is helpful,
