I found a lump in breast a month ago (just smaller than a grape - next to my nipple. also have one just under my arm pit and now have shooting pains through nipple. I am waiting for a mamo. Has anyone else had similar symptoms please?
I am sorry to hear about your symptoms and understand how worried you are. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know what the cause of your symptoms is until you have undergone some tests. Have you been referred to the breast clinic, or are you just waiting for a mammogram?
The usual route is via the breast clinic, where you are likely to have a mammogram and/or an ultrasound and then a biopsy. The results of the biopsy usually confirm the diagnosis.
There are a number of other, less sinister reasons for breast lumps, so here's hoping that you have one of these.

The doctor said she was requesting that I go on the urgent list for a mammogram but that pain doesn't usually accompany anything sinister. hopfully she's right. I was just wondering of nayone else had had the pain.
Some people do have pain, which turns out to be untoward, but it is unusual. It is normal to be referred under the urgent pathway for any suspect breast problems. Do you have a date for your mammogram yet? If not, I hope that it comes through soon.
