Husband has a lump on the back, referred to MDT

I am scared.

He has lumps all over, had them for years - lipomas.

This one I noticed last December but it could have been there before. I felt it and it wasn't as movable but didn't really worry. In August he complained that it hurt so I suggested he goes to the GP. He was sent for an US. The radiographer didn't see anything sinister but couldn't imagine it the whole as it was near/in a muscle and near a bone. The radiologist sent him for an MRI.

There, the report describes a multilobulated lesion and says vascular malformation and hemangioma are in differentials but stresses that there was no blood flow that you would expect to see with these lesions on the US. He then says to refer to soft tissue sarcoma MDT. We are now waiting and I am scared.

Surely, they wouldn't refer to MDT if this wasn't suspicious?
