not all breast lumps are cancer , try not to worry to much in my case it was but lots of lovely ladies here have been and it' ends up ok ,

Try not to overthink it, lymph nodes and lumps do come and go, best to get it all checked out and put your mind at rest. Theres lots of support on this forum

Thank you, I just wasn't expecting the doctor to find a lump in my breast, I found the lump in my armpit and thought it was a cyst but as the area seems very swollen I thought it's best to get it checked out so when the doctor also found the lump in the breast next to the lymph node it's frightened me!! What can I do though? Just a waiting game now xx

A very warm welcome to the forum.

Most of us are referred under the urgent pathway, so try not to worry about that. As others have said, there are many reasons for breast lumps and most of them are not due to cancer. Only 1 person in every 8 referred, gets a cancer diagnosis. It is good news that your GP cannot find any nodes in your neck and that it only seems to be the one that is palpable.
