A month ago I thought I had breast pain along the braline to the right of my right underboob. Decided to start wearing only wireless. I was massaging them a little bit to try ease the pain and thought I felt a lump of sorts. Feels almost like my ribs (I'm skinny enough, easy to feel ribcage). I thought maybe it was from work because it's so physical. I'm often bopping off things and getting bruises so maybe was that.
Jump to Saturday night, was applying moisturiser after a shower and did a check. When I pulled back on my underboob around to my sides, I could feel a lump of sorts again. It's just tender to the touch, can notice it's there particularly sitting or wearing a wire bra. Nipple on that side feels a bit tender/sore. Booked GP appointment for Tuesday (today).
Explained the above, she examined me and she gently found it without me pointing it out or said which breast it was. She went up around the armpits and said she could feel my gland under there. When she rubbed over it, I could almost feel a pop. I notice the gland when I have my fists under my chin and squeeze my arms into my sides.
Have no history of breast cancer in family. GP said she will check it again in 3 weeks time. Kind of expected to be sent for a test of some sorts. Asked the receptionist if I'll have to pay GP fee again so waiting on a reply. Not sure if I can just go to a breast clinic myself where I live in Ireland, pretty sure I need a GP referral. Feeling anxious as I had an ovarian cyst rupture before. Went A&E with intense pain, sent me home telling me it's period pain and ended up back there with an ultrasound done to confirm I had an infection and it ruptured.
The not knowing is the tough
